IN GOA, INDIA, VILLA CLEMENTE.
Beautiful 100 years old Indo-Portuguese house of 350 m² (3 767 ft²) on a 1000 m² (10 763 ft²) plot area, located on the west coast of India, in South Goa, 600 km (about 370 miles) south of Bombay. Possibility to acquire more land.
The house is located in a small village, Orlim, about 1.5 km away (about a mile) from the beach, near a peaceful road with little traffic, less than 5 minutes drive from Fatrade beach where the 5 star hotel “Ramada”is settled, and a few more minutes to reach Carmona Zalor beach. You can see its precise location on the map below.
The beach near the villa is one of the most beautiful beaches of the world: a 26 km (16 miles) of uninterrupted stretch of white and thin sand beach, never crowded, and facing west.
The closest beaches at about 2 km (bit more than a mile) are Fatrade and Carmona beaches.
Goa is one of the most touristic places of India. There are many beaches here and tourists all year round, though less during monsoon of course. The atmosphere of Goa is a unique mix of Indian and Portuguese cultures, due to the occupation of Goa by the Portuguese for 450 years till 1962.
One of the charms of Goa is its specific Indo-Portuguese architecture, which is a real mix of these two countries. It is reflected everywhere here, in the churches, administrative buildings or private houses.
And our house is one of them. We renovated it, keeping the original personality.
The villa is composed of an entrance, a living, a dining room, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, a large corridor, 2 galleries, 2 balcaos, and a storeroom.
There’s also a nice garden with several coconut trees, tropical fruit trees and a well. The area around the property is also full of trees, which gives coolness and a nice wildlife atmosphere.
The house can be divided in 2 separate homes, the south part becoming an independant flat that can be rented to tourists.
